This weekend my friend’s roommate crashed his brakeless fixie and went down on his helmetless head. The Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles put 65 stitches into his forehead alone. Another 20 or so went into his face. Wear a helmet. Brakes are a good idea, too. Don’t be a fashion victim.
